This is the spirit of the antichrist,
which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

(1 John 4:3)

San Luis Coastal Unified School District  has refused to admit that children were asked and prayed to Allah in class.  Until now I have refrained from naming names, but as this school board has refused to take action against the abuse of our religious freedom, I did.  Do not blame the children.  We entrust our children to the teachers and the school district.  Although many teachers are sensitive to our rights, others are not.

The following are events I've encountered with what little interaction I've had. I'm a working mom, I'm not in the school 6 hours a day, 5 days a week.  IF I find out about things by chance, it is always after the fact.  These incidents were asked of our children, with open hearts, they responded.   Click on the title to read details.

bulletPraying to Allah? If someone complains, tell them we’ll look into it, then cover it up.
bulletDance to African gods?  No problem, unless someone threatens a lawsuit.
bullet Tell children to assume they are Muslim soldiers?  Keep doing that, not enough parents have complained.
bulletTextbooks that scorn Christianity and indoctrinate Islam and atheismShrug your shoulders and simply disagree.
bulletChristian books in our library?   They are REJECTED, they are not pluralistic.
bulletTell children to believe poker chips will protect them?  If parents complain, stop.  Switch to something else.
bulletDemonstrate our own psychic powers to students?  Someone complained, don't agree it's religion, stop for now, with no disciplinary action or apologies."
bulletEvolution?  Assure parents it will be taught as a theory, then give tests as though evolution is fact.
bulletSchool song?  Have them sing, “When all is said and done, all that will remain is a song.”

bullet Homosexuality?  We can teach that under “tolerance" and pretend it's mandated, keep going.
bulletChildren reciting Indian god legends as fact on videotape?  No problem, applaud them.  Reciting as truth doesn't lead to belief.
bulletPledge of allegiance in middle school?  Instead, play the American anthem, without words, over the loudspeakers, that will suffice.
bulletRequired reading?  Harry Potter tops the list, along with books promoting abortion and euthanasia.
bulletIn fact, lets give children half an hour before our school board meetings to present us with what they are learning.  The first one (loud applause) happens to be about various pagan gods, and the children obviously enjoy telling all about their favorites.

Trying to communicate my objections to this school board of pagan practices is about as effective as trying to stop a river with a toothpick.  I am told I am the only one complaining.  No, I am the only one LOUDLY complaining.  Hundreds of others have complained, given up and decided to homeschool.

Our district had to close three schools this year.  I addressed the school board publicly and stated this might have been avoided if so many were not forced to homeschool because of the atheist push in school.  The school board replied  that our funding does not depend on the number of school children enrolled.  We are on “basic aid” funding.  I checked.  Basic aid means our revenue for school from property tax is so high above the norm that we don’t need the state’s general funds.  We should be better off financially, not closing schools.  Additionally, the “categorical fund,” normally 40% of school income, DOES rely on children’s enrollment, so what the school board said wasn’t true.  It's amazing that children are NOT enrolling in spite of new homes and everyone complaining about the growth explosion.

Am I the only parent that feels this way? Hardly! See Poll
