Parents, if
we don't wake up, many of us will have to deal with the heartbreak
when our child comes home and announces they are gay. They are not
"coming out of the closet," they are LEARNING this behavior in
public school.
WorldNetdaily reported a new survey shows parents don't want
their children taught "it's O.K. to be 'gay'" at school. Seventy-one percent of parents responding to a poll conducted
statewide said they opposed sex education programs that
teach students that homosexual love relationships are comparable to
heterosexual relationships. The poll of over 1,200 parents of K-12 students was conducted by Zogby International and released Feb. 13.
The American Family Association is not surprised by
the findings.
"Parents nationally and in Michigan don't want their children
indoctrinated or their health put at risk by 'politically correct'
sex-ed or diversity programs which tell kids there's nothing wrong
with homosexual sex," said
AFA-Michigan President Gary Glenn.
California lawmakers passed legislation revising state curriculum
to require educators to "acknowledge lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgender historical figures, events, concepts, and issues."
This translates to million dollar figures promoting homosexuality,
and if you click on the AFA link above, you will find "fistgate,"
the dialogue of a secretly taped instructional session in public
school. I can't even read it, but this is the direction our
local legislators are PAYING homosexual groups to teach our
children.
BlessedCause contends that children should be taught tolerance of
all individuality (including Christianity!) without peddling
beliefs. What if we asked schools to promote Christianity because
we feel persecuted as Christians? Think we're not? Read our
children's textbooks!
There is evidence "diversity" programs that promote homosexuality
are effective in promoting the homosexual agenda. A Hamilton College Gay Issues poll released in August
finds two-thirds of high school graduates favor legal recognition of
homosexual marriages, 71 percent believe sexual relations between
same-sex adults should be legal, and 71 percent of graduates would
allow homosexual men to serve as Scout leaders. These are the voters
of the future.
The instruction materials and methods used in the promotion
of homosexuality in California schools has drawn a lot of fire.
WorldNetDaily reported parents filed a lawsuit against the Novato
Unified School District for authorizing pro-homosexual assemblies
without any prior notice or parental consent. The presentations,
entitled "Cootie Shots," exposed elementary school children as young
as seven to skits containing gay and lesbian propaganda.
WorldNetdaily also reported California
Assemblyman Dennis Mountjoy took issue last year with sexually
explicit instructional materials approved by the Los Angeles Unified
School District for use in "diversity" and "safety" programs which
included instructions on homosexual sodomy and a glorified account
of lesbian pedophilia.
"The material is being put forward under the guise of tolerance
and diversity, but it's inappropriate. It's lewd and lascivious ...
and is darn embarrassing. Here I sit in my office reading my porn.
It made me turn red, and I don't easily turn red," said
Mountjoy.
AFA is sending information on the Zogby poll and on the potential
legal liability to members of the state board of education and other
elected officials in Michigan.
"To avoid harmful consequences to children ... public school
officials should honor parents' strong opposition to 'normalizing'
homosexual behavior in the classroom," said Glenn.
The group stresses that public school officials who fail to heed
the warning may face legal liability for negligence should physical,
mental and emotional harm come to children who experiment with
homosexual behavior after being told at school – by teachers or
homosexual activists invited as guest speakers – that such behavior
is normal.
Glenn said medical studies offer evidence that such physical,
mental and emotional harm occurs.
He cites a Harvard Medical School study of 4,000 high school
students which found that "gay-lesbian-bisexual youth report
disproportionate risk for a variety of health risk and problem
behaviors ... engaging in twice the mean number of risk
behaviors as did the overall population."
The study, which was published in The Journal of the American
Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, also found:
Gay-lesbian-bisexual orientation was associated with increased
use of cocaine (and other illegal) drugs'
Gay-lesbian-bisexual youth were more likely to report using
tobacco, marijuana and cocaine before 13 years of age;
Gay-lesbian-bisexual orientation is associated with sexual
intercourse before 13 years of age, sexual intercourse with four
or more partners and sexual contact against one's will.
"Individuals who choose to engage in homosexual behavior put
themselves at dramatically higher risk of domestic violence, mental
illness, life-threatening diseases such as AIDS, cancer and
hepatitis, and premature death by up to 20 years," Glenn said.
"Any public school official who allows young people to be taught
at school that such behavior is normal, positive or harmless is not
only negligent but reckless and should be held accountable to the
fullest extent of the law," he added.
Every day that public school promotes homosexuality is a day they
are opening themselves up to a lawsuit. All it will take is one
child who was not told the heavy consequences of the gay lifestyle
which are omitted in sex-ed (details soon) and that parent should
sue to the full extent of the law. Sadly, many children will be
influenced and suffer because of public educations reprehensible
stance. There is no amount of money that can compensate the
heartbreak that public education is promoting, but we encourage
every parent to sue for as much as they can. Perhaps then education
officials will cease corrupting our children.
Again, Christians are commanded to love everyone, of
course this includes homosexuals. Christ would welcome them and
rejoice! God invites us to come as we are, and none of us were
without sin. But we object to the MILITANT gay movement
indoctrinating our children. Everyone knows anal intercourse is NOT
healthy. BlessedCause encourages all parents to sue schools that
insist on teaching such behavior to impressionable youth. May
God lead us to protect our children and future grandchildren as much
as we can. Pray for revival!
