We absolutely will. There is someone very close to me that I know is trying hard as well, so praying for all of us! (wait, we're crazy?) :glad:

Lord first of all thanks that we're all in situations that we have such an abundance that we struggle with the overflow, we praise You and thank You that you have blessed us with so much. Father so much of it tastes so good though that it's tempting to eat more than we need so please Abba, help us with that. Take away all desire for food and if there's anything in our lives that's troubling us that we would look for that escape, please open our eyes to it and help us deal with it by Your power and grace alone. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on You, Father, teach us how to lean on You when we're in need and please help that person that doesn't even realize that You are the power and the glory forever in all things, even the little things like this.

Lord I can write these words and 10 minutes later find myself snacking without thinking, help me Father. Help me keep my guard up, to keep focused on You and You alone, remind me in that way You have of Your never ending love for us that we would feast on that rather than anything we can find to try to indulge ourselves. Apart from You I can do nothing but with You, all things are possible. You've shown us over and over again and yet we wander off. Help us to keep close, call us Father and thanks for being there.

In Jesus name, amen

Hey I love my feet massaged! Hubby comes home from working for a couple of weeks and he gives me the foot massages! bless his heart! anyhow.. ditto here with what Jen prayed. We all need to support one another and yes, being overweight is bad for our health and well being.. Im pooped out and cant get off the floor anymore (avoides indian style sitting hehe)

Its true too.. we can pray and 10 min later put something in our mouths without even remembering we were watching what we ate. I need the LORD to remind me. thats my prayer! Remind us Lord..help us to be focused and learn to always make better choices.

btw.. making buttermilk cheese bread & home made beef stew, come on over! ( we won't overeat!)

Does he have a sister thats available? I'd love a good foot massage.
And maybe you wouldn't overeat. Home cooked food that I didn't have anything to do with, I would overeat

    1.Matthew 10:38
And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

    2.Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

    3.Mark 8:34
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

    4.Mark 10:21
Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

    5.Luke 9:23
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
daily? DAILY?

AAARGH! It's not always easy...

17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

(Romans 14)

....so okay, I blame the Romans...

maybe its the renewing of the mind that has to take place that makes you able to change your lifestyle regarding food..hmmm... I believe its the renewing of the mind that helps Christians to change in other areas. You know you react to what you believe. ....and we are new creations when we are born again.

Went on a picnic today with my sis and bro (thats when you called friend!) we ate bbq ribs (only 1).. seafood pasta salad, sandwhiches, german chocolate brownies and ice tea. Hey..it was a beautiful day outside.. we were up in the foothills in the park next to the brisk full river.. birds were singing..there were little white flowers all over the grassy area. Life is good.. played dominoes ( I win.. dont ask why...dumb luck!)

My oldest son went with us..he loves to meander..going thru trails and bringing back treasures he finds along the way. Stuff you and I probably wouldnt think twice about... but he is delighted with his finds! He will probably make something from it all.

The birds and the bees (hey its pollination time out here in the almond orchards where I live!) and fresh rolling hills and miles and miles of green pastures dotted with young cows delight me! I love country drives here. I love the handiwork of God!!!

my hubby is off in cold cold Wyoming! He seems to be traveling thru the northern states more this past month. What a time to be up there.. in the snow. Nevada, Utah, Oregon, Wyoming and Colorado have been his deliveries this past few weeks.

ok.. a little chatter from me! hope everyone is blessed, and healthy and happy!
How are you all doing??? :write:

Thank you Lord for this wonderful day. I don't know where to begin..there are so many things to be thankful for..and so many things I need to change. So for now.. I will just be. I am at rest in the knowledge that I am yours..and you know all things and all my needs.

Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God -- what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Renew my mind.. replace my wrong thoughts with your thoughts. We all respond according to what we believe is the truth. Your Word is the truth. and it will set us free.

amen.

oh.. P.S... thank you for the sunshine all weekend, the wonderful time I had with family & friends. thank you for meeting all our needs and giving us laughter and smiles and such pleasant moments. I really enjoyed my weekend. Thanks Abba.
