To Beloved Calvary Chapel
How I love to listen to Chuck Smith and all pastors of Calvary Chapel. How
God has blessed Chuck Smith since the time when his congregation demanded that
Chuck ask the "dirty barefooted hippies" to leave, they were sticking their toes
in the communion cup holders of the pews. Chuck responded as a true man of God
would, he said he would rip out the pews before he would ask those precious
children of God to leave. Chuck had the right attitude, God loves the people,
not the materialistic objects around them.
I have listened for hours on end to the wisdom and anointed sermons given
through the radio from Calvary Chapel. What a blessing to mankind, what a
ministry! And oh how God has lifted Pastor Chuck up to be the leader that he is.
What began even in California, the most liberal state of the nation, has grown into a worldwide
ministry!
Chuck talked about the homosexual bill recently submitted that would make it
illegal not to hire a transsexual, with fines as much as $150,000. This would
include churches, church child care, Christian bookstores, boy scouts, as well
all small businesses such as construction contractors.
Calvary Chapel is now featuring a radio segment every day from one of the
Christian legal organizations who are fighting for our rights. We applaud you
Calvary Chapel!
Christians, are we comfortable, hiding in our houses in silent prayer? As we
lock our doors and shutter our windows, are we not putting a basket over our
light on a hill?
Jesus told us that what He whispered in our ear, to shout on the rooftops!
Jesus said we would be persecuted, mocked, whipped, beaten and killed when we
do, because we
are His, and men hated Him first.
We are told to pick up our cross and follow Him. How does that happen as we hide ourselves in our prayer closets...I ask
again, are we comfortable? Of course we should pray, Jesus was continually in
prayer, but that's not all!
God has been BLESSING the efforts of those who have been standing
up for God and His precepts; the problem is very few will because so many shepherds,
the leaders of the flock, are preaching to the saints to sit still and quietly
pray as the wolves ravage our children in public school, as well as a host of
other offenses.
I am a woman, I was not meant to lead, but the pastors I know refuse to. If God can
use a donkey, I suppose He can use me. But pastors are our
shepherds, our religious leaders, I urge you to LEAD! For the love of
God, LEAD!!!! Very few will even urge their congregations to vote in elections. What has deceived you? God would BLESS you if you would just have
faith and LEAD!
A true shepherd protects the flock, Jesus said he would die for the flock.
How hard is it to stir up the saints? How hard is it to designate an associate
pastor or elder to lead the battle and protest for the sake of our children? How
hard is it to obey our Father and His commands? Have you no faith?
Yes pray, but
please, stand up and be counted. Encourage parents to become active and voice
objections to the antichrist curriculum in public schools.
We have not "picked up our cross," rather we are
allowing our children to be crucified on the cross that we've abandoned.
God leveled whole nations when the people
allowed their children to “walk through the fire.” What are we allowing our
children to walk through in public school? Pick up your cross and follow
Him, be identified as a Christian and object to public school’s crucifixion
of our faith and our children. And pray for our pastors, that they would
activate the saints and endeavor to fulfill our God given commission.
